AMY GRANT TO RELEASE 'HOUSE OF LOVE' Expanded Anniversary Edition September 27th

Aug 11 2024

On September 27th, six-time GRAMMY-winner Amy Grant will release the House Of Love Expanded Anniversary Edition.

Available today is the digital single "Politics Of Kissing," which, like several selections on this edition, has never been available digitally and was originally only released on the UK version of House Of Love in 1994. Pre-Order packages are also now available at AmyGrant.com, including an Ultimate Fan Pack, featuring the (double) vinyl with a signed and numbered insert, a vintage House of Love tee and tote, water bottle, and a four-pack of photos from the original photoshoot.

"Gathering the materials for this Expanded Anniversary Edition of House Of Love brought a flood of memories back to me," recalls Grant. "Those days were full of dreams coming true and lots of irons in the fire. A circle of extended family and friends helped us share the load of caring for our young family, planning a big tour and creating music that would be the follow-up to the magical time of Heart In Motion. We were managing the joyful chaos of life; riding a big wave and hoping not to wipe out. I love the songs on House Of Love and am excited to release all the music made in that time…the b-sides, all the remixes and the newly re-imagined versions of select songs."

With multiple formats, House Of Love Expanded Anniversary Edition will be available for the very first time on (double) vinyl with a signed and numbered insert. The LP will include 19 tracks: 11 original album tracks plus b-sides, re-mixes and a newly reimagined version of “Oh How The Years Go By” by Keith Thomas. It will also be accessible as a double CD and digital album with 30 tracks including the tracks above plus additional remixes, radio versions and a newly re-imagined version of “Helping Hand” by Tommy Sims.

A true goldmine for Grant fans, the anniversary edition features alternate versions of songs including “House Of Love” (Michael Omartian version) which was originally titled, “Any Amount Of Money” as well as “Oh How The Years Go By” (Keith Thomas Version). For the listener, these versions provide a deeper glimpse into how a song can develop over time and be interpreted differently by the two producers of the original album. Additionally, there are bonus tracks included that were ‘B-Sides’ of radio singles originally released in limited distribution or only available in certain territories but are now available in this collection including “Life’s Gonna Change” and “Politics Of Kissing.” Rounding out this edition are several remixes of radio singles, “Lucky One,” “House Of Love” and the incredible cover of the Joni Mitchell classic, “Big Yellow Taxi.”

Most recently, Grant and husband Vince Gill also announced the September 13th release of When I Think Of Christmas, a treasury of seasonal songs that capture the spirit of their much-loved “Christmas at the Ryman” concerts. The album contains remastered versions of nine of their Yuletide favorites, plus two new recordings: “When I Think Of Christmas” (Amy Grant) and “’Til The Season Comes ‘Round Again.” (Amy Grant & Vince Gill)

This fall finds Grant touring across the country September through November leading up to Grant and Gill's annual Ryman residency each December.
