Andrew Gonoude Announces Debut Album 'Audience Of One, Songs From The Secret Place'

Aug 26 2024

English Christian artist, songwriter and worship leader from West Sussex, UK, Andrew Gonoude announces the upcoming release of his debut album 'Audience Of One, Songs From The Secret Place', which will hit the stores everywhere on 25 August 2024.

"This is my debut album containing a collection of new songs, existing songs and some remixes/remasters", explains Andrew. "The project began 2 years ago with my first ever production single 'Tears for the Lost' and includes last month’s release 'Always on You.'"

The album includes next month’s brand new single 'The Truth Of What I Sing', a song that celebrates the power of praise and is based on the well-known scripture "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thess. 5:18).

The apostle Paul urges the Greek church in Thessaloniki to always be grateful to God and to express praise and gratitude, regardless of any situation they face.

Also included on the ten-track album are Andrew's recent singles, 'Always On You', 'Be Still' and 'The 99'.

In an interview with Louder Than The Music, Andrew explains the album "is largely based on my personal devotional life. This usually involves getting alone with the Lord with my Guitar, a Bible and an iPad (it has an app for writing music).

I spend a lot of time alone with God worshipping and just singing my heart out. A lot of what I sing does not get recorded, nor made into a song. It’s just for him.

I heard somebody once say ‘’Do not stand before men until you have knelt before God.’’ And sometimes I feel as musicians we need to be worshippers before an audience of one before we can stand and lead musical worship in front of crowds. So I have a deep desire to be a worshipper in a secret place where I can shut the door behind me, not expecting anyone else’s attention. It’s like my personal conviction, since that first calling when I first became a Christian at 18. I have a deep priority in my heart - to be intimate with the Father and worship him in the presence of the Holy Spirit. There is nothing greater in life. I want to know him as he knows me."
