McCloud & Truex Return With 'Outstanding In Their Field Volume 2'

Nov 05 2024

Caspar McCloud & Renae’ Truex released a new album on February 1st called 'Outstanding In Their Field'. The response was so overwhelming that they have now released 'Outstanding In Their Field Volume 2'.

This project continues their mission of resonating deeply with audiences seeking inspiration and reflection during these unprecedented times. Led by the extraordinary Caspar McCloud-an acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and ordained minister, this album showcases not only his virtuosic talent but also his dedication to creating music that fosters healing and contemplation.

As a former Atlantic Records artist dubbed the "next Jimi Hendrix," McCloud's musical prowess is complemented by his collaboration with the talented violinist and singer Renae Truex. 'Outstanding in Their Field Volume 2' encapsulates the dynamic chemistry of the duo, ensuring each performance and track captivates listeners everywhere.

In addition to the music, McCloud's multifaceted talents as a portrait artist and bestselling author add a unique depth to his artistry. With regular features on major television platforms and a devoted following, McCloud & Truex are well positioned to expand their reach even further. 'Outstanding in Their Field Volume 2' is more than just an album; it's an invitation to explore a spiritual journey through the power of music.

The music is all instrumental, just guitar and violin tuned to 432 Hz - the supposed healing frequency. Caspar says: "The idea came to us whilst playing in Manchester UK this past September as we played in several churches."

In an interview with Louder Than The Music Renae explained how some of the song titles were devised. "Our recent tour throughout England inspired these titles. The wondrous countryside, the architecture, many structures and streets of old, telling their stories of their past and the history of England. What magnificent beauty. I truly felt at home.

We didn’t feel the need for any extra added instruments for this album. It is calm and serene. We only heard a violin and an acoustic guitar. To have added anything else would’ve been too much. It is indeed quite a departure from the rocked-out sound we usually produce. Caspar is such a beautiful player. It is awesome to hear him rock out but it is also wonderful listening to him in this element."

McCLOUD & TRUEX both front the Caspar McCloud Band that just performed with the ReAwaken America Tour, being introduced by General Flynn and Clay Clark. Their performance had well over a million views on live stream as well as an enthusiastic audience of thousands in front of them.

They also performed this past September at Soul Fest in Boston to a massive crowd. Caspar McCloud Band recently released their latest album, 'Immortality'.
