For Turnaround, Sam takes a melodic approach as he appeals to non-believers and proclaiming Christians alike. The message is a simple reminder of what Christ sacrificed so that we have the opportunity to have our lives changed. It is up to us to stay the course and leave the past behind us.
Samuel Arthur Pierce, aka Sam Purpose (formally known as Sam P.), is a rap artist and music producer from North Carolina. Sam describes the type of hip-hop music he creates as "Hip hop with a solution to the struggle." For him, he has known that solution to be Jesus Christ. Inspired by CHH heavyweights such as Bizzle, Lecrae, Trip Lee, Social Club Misfits, DA T.R.U.T.H., KB, and Andy Mineo, as well as legendary mainstream artists like Nas, Mobb Deep, The Lox, The Notorious B.I.G., and Wu-Tang Clan. Sam has taken these influences and found his sound since 2015.
