Philippa Hanna To Support Lionel Richie On UK Arena Tour
British Christian singer/songwriter Philippa Hanna will be supporting one of the world's biggest music artists, Lionel Richie, on his UK arena tour this Autumn.
The tour begins at the LG Arena in Birmingham on 26th October 2012 and continues until 15th December at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham. Also included are two dates at London's O2 Arena, plus dates in Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff, Newcastle and Sheffield.
"Captivating audiences around the globe, the incredible Philippa Hanna will join Lionel Richie as support across his UK tour", confirmed tour promoters Marshall Arts.
"Since the independent release of debut album Watching Me in 2007 it's been difficult to keep track of Philippa. Creating a splash on the UK gospel scene, Philippa has found herself at the top of UK Christian and gospel charts and saw out 2011 voted Best British female by UK subscribers to popular Christian music site Louderthanthemusic.com", continued the promoter.
Writing on Twitter, Philippa said "Excited, to announce I'll be supporting the one & only Lionel Ritchie on his UK arena tour! Here's to letting thousands know they're AMAZING".
Academy and Grammy award winner Lionel Richie was originally in the Motown group the Commodores, who had hits with 'Three Times A Lady' and 'Easy'. He then went on to enjoy huge solo success with hit singles including 'Say You, Say Me', 'Endless Love', 'All Night Long' and 'Hello', and has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
