Anberlin To Release Final Album 'Lowborn' Ahead Of Farewell Tours In UK, Australia, Brazil & US

Jun 02 2014

US rock band Anberlin will release their final album, 'Lowborn', on 23rd June 2014 followed by a farewell world tour visiting the UK, Australia, Brazil as well as the US.

"We are super proud to announce that we have finished our final album, and it is called LOWBORN", confirmed the band.

In a message to their British fans, the band added, "We will be announcing parts of our Farewell World Tour over the coming weeks and months. First up is our final dates ever in the UK. London, Manchester, and Glasgow... we are coming to you in August! Can't wait to see you guys!"

Anberlin have been together for 12 years and have released six innovative and sincere albums that have affected fans in deeply emotional ways. 'Lowborn', the band's seventh full-length, will be their last release.

"Usually breakups happen quickly and suddenly, an implosion of sorts," guitarist Christian McAlhaney says. "What is unique about the end of Anberlin is that we discussed where people were at in their lives, what that meant for the band, and then made plans for the end on our own terms."

'Lowborn' reflects true artistic freedom for the band, who felt liberated from any sort of expectation or pressure. "I wanted to enjoy the creative process one more time, with no restrictions, no one breathing down my neck for a single," singer Stephen Christian says. "Just unadulterated creative freedom."
