Pillar To Release Kickstarter Funded 'One Love Revolution'
Christian rock music staple, Pillar, is releasing their first album in six years. The new album, One Love Revolution, was made possible through the support of their loyal fanbase, and is scheduled to release physically through Lifeway on August 18th with a digital release to follow on August 21st.
“Making this record was not only humbling just to have another opportunity, but it was an honor. An honor to regroup and put together our best effort to date,” shares frontman Rob Beckley, “We had a purpose beyond a career. It was about inspiring people to know Christ better and to engage in a fight that outlasts their own legacy!"
For this independent project, Pillar has been collaborating with producer Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Tobymac, Dolly Parton) for over a year to develop a strong track listing and have included their supporters in the process. The physical CD, sold through Lifeway, will contain an exclusive track ("Fall The Foe") as well as the digital release ("A Season").
Says lead guitarist, Noah Henson, "When you spend 10 years plus on the road with guys that become your family, and then suddenly you don't have them anymore, it's like losing an arm or a leg.
The reuniting of Pillar with Rob, Kalel, Lester and myself has been like getting that arm or leg back. This record is a direct reflection of that. It's one of our greatest accomplishments to date. I'm beyond excited to get these songs into the hands of our awesome fans!!”
For 15 years, Pillar has rocked fans with their music and message. The band has released eight studio albums that birthed hit songs like “Fireproof,” “Bring Me Down” and “For the Love of the Game.” The latter was used by ESPN for the 2007 World Series promotions. The band was recognized with three Dove Awards and other nominations including GRAMMY® nod for their album The Reckoning.
