Steven Curtis Chapman Prepares 'Beauty Will Rise' For November
Steven Curtis Chapman will release his new album 'Beauty Will Rise' on 3rd November. Created in the 15 months since the tragic death of his five-year-old daughter Maria, Steven calls the album "a collection of psalms, laments, wrestling, and pondering."
Maria Chapman was killed in a tragic accident at the family home in Franklin, Tennessee in May 2008. In the aftermath of the tragedy, the Chapman family began to speak publicly about their loss and the role that faith played in it all. They appeared on Good Morning America, Larry King Live and in People magazine.
'Beauty Will Rise' is a collection of 12 new and profound songs described as "Steven's personal Psalms. It is a desperately hopeful, raw, personal, and honest recording that it likely the most important of his already incredible 20 plus year ministry."
Steven has released more than 20 albums to date and has won five Grammy awards and 56 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, more than any other artist in history. He has sold more than 10 million albums and has 9 RIAA-certified Gold or Platinum albums.
