Singer/songwriter, worship leader and choir director Anu Omideyi has unveiled the lyric video for her new song 'Restore The Joy', taken from her forthcoming debut solo EP 'The Worship Must Go On', which will be released towards the end of the year. The EP contains 4 tracks which Anu was inspired to write as an encouragement to listeners that no matter what situations they encounter in their life, the worship must continue. With the knowledge that He is a good father, Anu wants to share her enduring love and trust in God, that come what may and regardless of the circumstances, He will see us through testing times to brighter days.
Anu had a successful 14-year career as a criminal barrister, but she felt the call to focus full-time on her music ministry in 2015. She began by leading, writing for, producing and directing the award-winning gospel outfit The Reapers Choir whose debut album, 'Light Through the Tunnel' was released in November 2015 to critical acclaim and numerous radio plays worldwide. Anu sang lead vocals on 6 of the album tracks ("Your Name"," Tell Me (Feel So Much Pain)", "Stand Still (Remix)", "No Fear (feat. Noel Robinson)", "Try the Lord" and "Amazing") and is often booked to sing at numerous events in her own right ranging from concerts and private functions to leading praise and worship.
Anu has led worship at her church Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK for over 20 years and is part of the leadership team that assists in running both the church and worship teams. Over the years, she has received numerous invitations to minister at other congregations and gatherings spanning different backgrounds and denominations. With the church's blessing, she is now answering the call to accept these invitations more widely than before and expand her music ministry of leading worship, singer songwriting, directing choirs and vocal tutoring for worship teams. Alongside this, she is an ordained Evangelist and provides biblical teaching and spiritual guidance with focused, relevant teaching sessions.
