Worship Leader Jasmyn Ferson Releases 'A Million Miles Away'

Mar 07 2019

Jasmyn Ferson is an exciting new worship leader emerging from the rich heritage of Northern Irish artists. She carries a heart for the people of God to engage ever more fully in the obedient call to live a life of devoted worship to Him and to be drawn deeper into this divine relationship as we join our voices together and offer our songs of confession, love and worship.

Her debut single, A Million Miles Away, begins in the longing of a fallen creation to be restored in its fullness, echoing our personal need for the story of redemption to unfold. Having then set out the humility of Christ’s sacrifice the song becomes an anthem of celebration and victory as the story continues...

"But love breathed life again, And my sins were left behind Him in that grave, Now I am free and death must wear the chains, My soul is bound no more"

Psalm 103 tells us that because of His great love for us, God does not treat us as our sins deserve. in fact, He has removed our sin, ‘As far as the east is from the west.’ We also see in 1 John 4:18 that ‘There is no fear in love… but perfect love drives out fear.’ In looking toward these great truths, ‘A Million Miles Away’ uses this colloquial phrase to demonstrate our inability to measure the great chasm God has set between our old selves and the new life we have in Him. In truth, the continuum between east and west cannot even be measured at all. Nothing can separate us from the love of God that was revealed in Christ Jesus.

A Million Miles Away is released under Flesh And Bone Music and will be available everywhere you stream and download music on Friday 1st March, 2019.
