Pyramid Park Launches Kickstarter Campaign For Second Alt-Pop Album

Apr 29 2019

Independent UK artist, Pyramid Park, the creative name of Pete McAllen, is aiming to record its second alt pop album, brimming with creativity and a "no boundaries" approach, with the help of a Kickstarter campaign which is currently running with unique rewards on offer.

Based in Cambridge, UK, Pyramid Park began two years ago, while finishing off what became its debut album 'Vulnerability'. On the back of 5 star reviews, Pyramid Park headed on tour across the UK and Europe, playing sixteen festivals in 2018.

"Writing an album takes a huge amount of time, from the initial songs, edits and pre-production, through to the recording, mixing and mastering...this is a big job", explains Pete. "I plan to record twelve songs (maybe more if time and budget allow). Then, on release, it will have two different approaches. For Spotify and other streaming sites the album will be released as a pre album EP, followed by a nine track album. The physical copies will be deluxe versions with the additional EP songs on the record (this is likely to be pressed to CD, but I am considering vinyl if we significantly exceed our Kickstarter goal).

Alongside this album I will be recording weekly vlogs updating you on my progress (see my YouTube Channel), plus adding new Pyramid Park merch for backers. So far, I have twelve songs completed, and around thirty unfinished songs that need to be edited and prepared for recording. I have a team of people who will help with artwork, photography, videography and decided on my preferred studio and producer.

For this album, I've tried to remove all limits for song writing. The songs are more expressive and lyrically creative than the Vulnerability project."
