St Aldates Worship Releases Second Single 'Raised With Christ' With Live Album PreOrder Available
St Aldates Worship today releases 'Raised With Christ' (ft. Lauren Harris) alongside pre-order launch for the new album 'Until You Do (Live)', which is set for international release on 19th July 2019, in partnership with Bespoke Records.
After the success of 1st single 'Loyal In Your Love' (featuring on Spotify’s New Music Friday Christian), St Aldates Worship have followed up with 2nd single 'Raised With Christ' - a mid-tempo worship anthem filled with biblical truth for the global church to pick up taken from upcoming album 'Until You Do (Live)'.
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God." - Colossians 3:1
'Raised With Christ' is almost entirely based in scripture, a simple and enduring anthem that has proved powerful in a congregational context.
Tom Read (Compass - 2012 , Lament - 2018) shares some of his thoughts around the writing process - "Ahead of a writing retreat a few years ago, the teaching pastors at our church had suggested an upcoming sermon series in Colossians could contain some great themes for us to capture in song. Joy Horton and I were both led to the phrase ‘Raised with Christ'. Following the retreat Jamie Thomson (Creative & Worship Director) was brought in to help craft it- collaboration was key for this song".
'Raised With Christ' reminds us that we now walk in the power of this resurrection life and the freedom that Christ has gained. We are free indeed! 'Raised With Christ' was produced by Henry Marsden (Worship Central, Jake Isaac), mixed by Jonny Bird (Martin Smith, Bright City) and mastered at Abbey Road studios.

The life-giving power of Jesus and the allusions towards His resurrection and our new lives in Him resonate again and again starkly within the passage in Colossians from where it’s taken. I love how this song is so based in scripture and I also love the way it came together as a real team process."
