Joshua Micah Releases New Single 'Moving Through Me'
Joshua Micah has released his new single 'Moving Through Me' "This song is about coming to the realization that God is not only with us, but he is within us", explains Joshua. "I view it almost as if it’s a super power. I am big into video games. In the same way that a fictional character or hero has certain powers that they possess, we too have power and confidence that only God can give us. It’s the reason we pray. It’s the reason we ask God to move mountains in our lives, because we know he has the power to do these things. 2 Peter 1:3 says, “His divine power has given us everything we need.” I think there’s a crazy thing that happens when we start to actually believe this."
Joshua Micah's debut radio single 'Parachute' began it's climb at radio in October of 2016 with Joshua sending it to PDs and MDs himself. From there, it was passed around from Boost 101.9 in St. Louis across the entire country and ultimately spent 2 consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard's Christian Hot AC/CHR chart and 1 week at #1 on The Hot Chart. A few people believed in Joshua enough to spread the word and this song broke through in a big way.
In 2017, his song "Who Says?" spent 7 weeks at #1 on Billboard's Christian Hot AC/CHR chart and he went on to play 30+ shows on the AIR1 Positive Hits Tour. "Heart Stops Beating" from his 20XX EP reached Top 10 on Billboard's Christian Hot AC/CHR chart in 2018.
Since then, Joshua has been in the studio with Justin Aumundrud (Elevation Rhythm, Young & Free, Local Sound) preparing a slew of hit songs for 2020 in partnership with startup Chicago-based startup label Hatch Music.
Joshua Micah, a 26 year old LA transplant from the northeast, is a bit of an enigma. In recent years, he captured the attention of over 750,000 fans and clocked over 130,000,000 views through an app known as Vine, as well as various social media platforms with his music. After seeing the major success of his Vine friends Shawn Mendes and Ruth B, Joshua knew that a career in music was possible for him as well. His debut single, ‘Parachute’ began to redefine how the world thinks of ‘Christian’ pop and in the process, it rocketed to #1 on Billboard’s Christian Hot AC/CHR charts in March of 2017. He followed up the success of “Parachute” with the 10-week Billboard Christian Hot AC/CHR #1 hit “Who Says?” which released in Summer of 2017.
