It feels like Brenton Brown has been around for many years, writing songs that the church use in times of worship, and leading worship at many of the festivals around the world. Brenton was born in South Africa but came over to England while in his early twenties to study Politics & Philosophy in Oxford.

Brenton says: "Music was a big part of our lives in our household. There was always a record on and loads of instruments lying around the place. Picking up an instrument and playing along to something was just a natural part of growing up - like learning to swim or riding a bike."

While at Oxford Brenton joined Vineyard Music and served as the worship Pastor at Oxford Vineyard. After a while he went on to become coordinator of the Vineyard Worship Development Team. During those years Brenton began to write some of his best known songs, "Lord Reign in me", "All who are thirsty", "Humble King", "Hallelujah [Your love is amazing]" and "Holy". They were all recorded for the yearly released Vineyard albums.

Brenton went to Malibu, California in 2005 where he battled with chronic fatigue syndrome but then was led to record his first solo album "Everlasting God" which he released in 2006. The title track for that album went on to become the most played song of 2007 and won many awards.

"Everlasting God has pretty much been a life line during the last few years. It's a prayer based on Isaiah 40. One of the most intrusive symptoms of our condition is fatigue and we're just tired a lot which can really affect our outlook on life. When I rediscovered this chapter in Isaiah, it was like we knew for sure God understood our circumstances - "even young men grow weary but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength."

Brenton's second solo album "Because of Your Love" was released in 2008. On 18th January "Because of Your Love" is to be re-released by Survivor Records under the new title "Adoration". Featuring two new tracks, plus co-writes with Paul Baloche ('Our God Saves' and 'Because Of Your Love') and re-recordings of Brenton's classics 'Holy Holy' and 'All Who Are Thirsty' - as well as the stunning title track 'Adoration' reflects the strength of support for Brenton's music these days.
