For all who don't know much about Dupree, The Dupree family is rooted in the core of their faith and their music. Lauren was raised in East Tennessee where music was an integral part of her life. The musical bond progressed as Dylan and Lauren played music at church for many years. Dylan studied guitar from the age of 7, and has always been passionate to combine his craft with his ministry.

At age 18 before attending college, Dylan was invited to join the platinum-selling band LFO’s 2017 reunion tour as lead guitarist. Dylan and Lauren were also writing/producing/recording Christian songs together at that time.

Dylan was accepted to Berklee College of Music, then chose to stay local and studied guitar at Rollins College in Orlando, FL. In 2018, the duo’s song “Everlasting Love” was featured on Spotify's New Music Friday Christian playlist. In 2019, they officially formed the duo DUPREE, and their Christian ministry spreads the message of belonging for all of God’s children, bringing everyone together through music.

Now I've said this before, I wouldn't want to be in a band with my mother, we would wind each other up too much, and I don't think I would make it out alive! But this is different, once the music starts you forget completely they are mother and son, but it's lovely to see. The bond with these two is so great that it does start to filter out into the music, and it is no more apparent than here on the track 'Mighty' which works so well.

The song itself is upbeat and exciting to listen to, it has some big guitar solos, showcasing the talent that is Dylan on guitar. The song sounds a little bit like it was inspired by Phil Collins, I'm not sure if that is intentional, but it does have an atmospheric upbeat feel that kicks into the rock world towards the end. The band's positive, upbeat music has elements of heavy pop, rock, harmonies and Dylan’s energetic, soulful guitar solos. Lauren & Dylan are both equally involved in this song, this isn't the Dylan band and Lauren is in the background, both artists are as important as the other. And it works so well!
