At 20 Bethany Dillon makes me feel totally lazy. September 8th saw the release of her fourth solo studio album and September 22nd will be her 21st birthday. As a wannabe who picked up a guitar a year younger than Bethany, I listen to the album with my head hung in shame.My own ego aside, the album opens up with Get Up And Walk introduces Bethany into the same category as Sarah McLachlan; warms vocals, passion-filled performance and heartfelt lyrics.
