For someone who hasn't been around for long, it's a surprise to see Beautiful: The Hits Collection by Bethany Dillon being released. This 14 track album features all of her radio hits mixed together with rare tracks that have never been released on CD.

Bethany released her self titled debut album in 2004 at the age of just 16 and at the time was branded as the new voice in CCM Music. What followed since then were the albums Imagination, Waking Up and most recently Stop And Listen. Bethany has managed to release so many albums in such a short space of time which is a credit to this hard working songwriter. Since her last album release, Stop And Listen back in 2009, Bethany took a break to raise her family with husband Shane Barnard of the band Shane & Shane.
This hits collection has a mix of songs from all of Bethany's album, but leaning more heavily on earlier releases like Beautiful and Hallelujah, with only one track Everyone To Know coming from her amazing latest album. As much as I think Stop And Listen is her strongest album, the first few albums are very good as well. They still show off the powerful passionate vocals that we have come to know and love from Bethany.
This acoustic rock female vocalist is a true talent and if you have not had the opportunity to hear the voice of Bethany Dillon yet then this album is a great catch up. Hopefully this is just a stop gap for Bethany and in the next year or so we will see her work on new material. Until then these 14 tracks will do, but can I also suggest checking out her last album as well, you might have realised that I really like it.
