Dweeb are back with a new helping of 'British post pop punk'. They are just about to release their biggest and most important album to date, Feels Like Dynamite and are hoping this album will make a big bang (sorry, no more puns).
This is a follow up to the amazing album It came From Outer Space, which as you can tell from my review, I enjoyed immensely. I am not one to review a new album from a band and keep comparing it to previous albums, this in its own right is an album than sits on its...

This is a follow up to the amazing album It came From Outer Space, which as you can tell from my review, I enjoyed immensely. I am not one to review a new album from a band and keep comparing it to previous albums, this in its own right is an album than sits on its own merits with no problem.
The only comparisons I am going to make between the albums are that It Came From Outer Space had big sounds, big guitar riffs, passionate vocals, exciting songs, amps turned to eleven, clever song structures, in your face lyrics and big anthems. Feels Like Dynamite does this yet again, but with a more mature attitude, yet the passion still runs all the way through this wonderful compilation of British Indie rock songs.
What does British Indie rock sound like at its best? In a nutshell it has to be the track It’s Ok, which is the perfect first single from the album. It has fast paced guitars and as always with dweeb, fantastic vocals. Tim Alford sings "It’s Ok, when we're together". Just imagine singing this with your friends on a beautiful summers afternoon at one of the many festivals, bliss. It’s Ok has to be the feel good track for this year, at 2 minutes and 35 seconds this could be your perfect summer soundtrack.
It’s Ok is a great song, but there are so many more stunning songs, one of the many great songs from this 10 track album has to be the heavily bass lead3D which kicks into life with some amazing guitar riff work, a song with attitude and spirit. Dynamite will go down well at live gigs, with its groovy verses and catchy chorus.
We Are The Ones has a sound that the Klaxons would be delighted with, the band singing "We are the ones who dance all night", a song that will get you dancing around your bedroom. All in all this album is jam packed full of stupendous sounds, one track that has a hint of the rock band The Kooks is Playing In The Snow. Dweeb have an album here that can compete with the big boys of indie rock and roll.
This album will please old fans of the band, but I am also sure this album will help attract new followers. Be prepared to hear more and more from this band over the upcoming festivals. Dweeb are back, bigger and better.
