Being a massive Beatles fan, Abbey Road has a special place in my heart, being the birth place for the sound that we have come to know from the Fab Four. It’s probably one of the best studios in the world and has seen some of the best artist over the years walk through its doors and record some amazing albums.

So I was a little surprised to see Abbey Road being used to host and record this worship album, it’s not the first place you would think to host such an event. Worship at The Abbey is a compilation of songs from some of the biggest worship leaders around today, with tracks from Stuart Townend, Tim Hughes, Jocelyn Brown, Smokie Norful, Lou Fellingham, Geraldine Latty, Andy Bromley, Mark Beswick and Kelly Minter. This rerelease comes with an awesome selection of songs, which include Happy Day, Yesterday Today and Forever and Celebrate.
On the whole this album is an impressive live album which has some great versions of some truly amazing worship songs, Happy Day punches with power to kick off the album with an amazing start. Lou Fellingham sings with such beauty in tracks Amazing Love and There Is A Day that you will want to listen again and again. One other highlight of this album has to be hearing the soulful vocals of Smokie Norful singing along with some amazing piano work on the track God Is Able.
Overall a fine worship album, with a strong selection of worship leaders and a great selection of different genre songs, a little bit of everything for every taste.
