With its strong opening, 'Look' instantly shows the passion Lawrence conveys through his music. With its strong opening, 'Look' instantly shows the passion Lawrence conveys through his music. With short snappy vocal lines interspersed with gentle gospel sounds in the background and a quirky tempo, this track sets the tone for the album. 'Can't Take Nothing From Here' mixes a mainstream pop feel with an almost gansta’ rap vibe. 'Inheritance' instantly has a more mellow feel with its atmospheric keyboard backing. Modern beats overlaid with the vocals mean there is so much going on sonically as Lawrence repeats "It's your promise", and really cries out to God.

The musical intro to 'Home' is beautiful, with a gorgeous piano sound, as he begs God to "bring me home". Likewise, the track 'Show You' really takes it down a notch, with stunning and moving keys setting a sombre tone. 'Snap That' sees the rapping move to a new level, and feels like Hancock is freestyling on the streets, complete with the distant sound of sirens.

On 'Close' there's more of a triumphant sound, as he asks God to "bring me Close", whereas 'Move Me' takes the sound more into the realms of R n' B. Then there's 'Nothing Short Of Amazing' which opens with a rock guitar sound and has a really upbeat feel, combined with a great drum sound and a few techno bleeps - this track is a clear highlight on the album. There are similar rock-style guitars on 'Drink Too', and layered vocals creating a wall of sound.

'Dancing For The Lord' mixes a disco beat with bluesy music and rapped vocals to really demonstrate the extent of this artist's talents and mixed genres. He can step it up, drop it down, and keep the listener guessing throughout. Ending with title track 'Waiting For You', with it's almost ballad, emotional style, Hancock echoes the words of the Lord as he calls out "my arms are open, come right here, feel my embrace".

Making use of a variety of different sounds, and really experimenting with the synths and beats means that some tracks on this exciting album are mellow, and others have a vibey urgency to them. This truly versatile artist has such a passion and appetite to produce intricate layers in his music, delivering a set of songs that transcend the genres.
