With a title of Louder, specially from The 29th Chapter, you may well be expecting a Loud sounding album, loud beats, loud tunes, just louder, blow off your ears loud, though thankfully its not louder in the sense of sound, if indeed it was it would be more like heavy rock then hip hop. I will get to the louder part of it in due course.

The album is true 29th Chapter style, I don't mean it is the same as their previous albums, because it isn't, what I mean is that the rap collaborations between the members is still excellent, with each members distinct rapping styles following through, along with the fantastic lyrics only 29th Chapter can come up with. There are still the great beats, and the production quality is top notch as usual. This album does have a distinct style, and is different to their previous, it has a more mature sound.

What is louder is that it is louder than the music, the lyrics are definitely loud, louder, the message is there and it is loud. It feels like a serious album, and it should be, the message is powerful and true, it's commenting on the state of the world. One of the most powerful tracks is trenches which is about the fatherless, the lack of fathering, "where have all the fathers gone?"

After a number of listens, I am really enjoying this album, its exciting, its fresh, and its fantastic, from the opening track Radio to the last Fall Back, it is catchy and totally full of spiritual adrenaline, it is powerful.

The only disappointment is that it is only 7 songs, hopefully this is a taster of whats to come from The 29th Chapter, if so then I look forward to their next album, which should be one of their best if they follow on from this 7 song EP.

Pop this into a CD player and crank up the volume, you will not be disappointed, it's louder than the music.
