Kat Gaffney Delivers Emotional Christian Single 'Overwhelmed'

Mar 27 2019

Independent artist, Kat Gaffney has taken her talent to a new level with the release of 'Overwhelmed', the debut single of her upcoming debut EP, 'Song in the Night'.

Kat Gaffney uses music to attest to her life's journey. Through worship music, she has found her true identity and a path to lead others. Fighting with mental health, Kat has found a way to battle self-doubt through writing music and leading worship.

Kat Gaffney's debut single, Overwhelmed, sheds light on what it's like to be a Christian walking through the deep valleys of life. Stemming from a time of depression in her own life, Overwhelmed serves as a reminder that no matter what life throws our way, God is still good all the time and He overwhelms us with His love. The song has a memorable melodic progression that will keep the listener calm and, from the start, the song will grasp the listener's emotions.

A North Carolinian turned New Yorker, Kat Gaffney has always on her way to the spotlight. From a very early age, Kat knew that she would be a performer. Growing up, she would choreograph full productions with her bed as the stage, lamps set up to face her and her stuffed animals sitting front row. Although she was raised in a Christian household, it wasn't until college that Kat realized what it really meant to be saved by grace.

While pursuing musical theatre at Coastal Carolina University, Kat became very involved with the Christian community on campus and began leading worship at local services. Thoroughly enjoying learning how to lead others in worship, Kat began to write her own songs about the role of Jesus in her life.
