Mr. Weaverface Announces His First Christian Rock single 'Jesus Is Alive'

Dec 01 2021

Independent Christian Rock Musician Mr. Weaverface (Brendon Weaver) announces the release of his first single, “Jesus Is Alive” on January 7, 2022. Recorded and mixed at TCLV Studios in Bethlehem, PA, “Jesus is Alive” talks about the power of Jesus Christ.

“I went through a spiritual warfare battle a couple of years ago,” Brendon says, “and only through the power of Jesus' name and trusting in Him was I victorious. This song is an anthem recognizing that Jesus Christ is the name above all names, that He is alive and not dead, and that He works miracles in undeserving sinners like myself yesterday, today and forever.”

On the song, Mr. Weaverface sings, and plays electric guitar and bass. Drumming on the song is Kevin Soffera, former drummer of Breaking Benjamin, who recorded the drums at this own production studio, Hybrid Studios PA.

“My musical style is heavily influence from 90's alternative rock, like Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots,” Mr. Weaverface says. “Jason Wegfahrt, the studio director at TCLV Studios, contacted Kevin thinking he would be a good fit for the song. We sent the song over to him and the drums he laid down was fantastic. He did an amazing job.”

Mr. Weaverface's musical background started at the age of 5 when he began taking piano lessons. He continued with classical piano training throughout high school. After graduating from Palmerton Area High School, he learned guitar and began songwriting and performing at coffee house events at Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA.

After moving to the Reading, PA area, he was lead singer and guitarist for two alternative rock bands in the early 2000s, Human Alloy and Mercy Nation, touring locally to play at venues such as The Silo, The Sterling Hotel, and The Tracadero Theatre. He then was called by the Lord to play guitar and sing for the worship team at Community Evangelical Church in Sinking Spring, PA for the past 12 years.

“Playing guitar and singing for church is a blessing,” Mr. Weaverface continues. “'Jesus is Alive' is one of the few Christian songs I've written recently. I believe God wants me to share them with the goal of leading people to Jesus.”

Professionally, Mr. Weaverface makes a living as Dr. Weaver, an optometrist at his private practice, Weaver Eye Care Associates in Bernville, PA. He is married to his loving wife, Laura. They have two daughters, Kaylee and Chloe.
