Ruth A Harris Releases Easter Single 'Precious Love'
Ruth A Harris, a musician & songwriter from Birmingham, UK who writes from the heart, releases her Easter single 'Precious Love' on 7th April.
This reflective, almost mournful piano vocal is intended to explore the darkness and heaviness of Good Friday and seeks to express the depth of love shown on that day. This song- while not devoid of hope- dwells upon the effects of that day upon Jesus, those who loved him and the ripple effect this has through history, without rushing on to the Joy of Easter Sunday. Through it, Ruth hopes that It provides opportunity to reflect, and a fresh perspective of Good Friday.
Ruth grew up immersed in music from a young age, singing in choirs and playing in bands throughout her youth. Despite taking a long break while her children were young, her love for music and all that it can convey wasn't lost and she returned to writing, recording and producing her own music in May 2021.
Her writing is often reflective- described by others as "etherial and haunting". Ruth aims to articulate and give voice to emotions and experiences that are not always talked about, often through questions and musing through her lyrics. She is a person of faith, and this often influences her writing- there is always an element of hope.
