Netherlands Band Trinity Releasing 'Alive Again' Single In The US
Making its mark on the international music scene, awards-winning, Netherlands-based, eclectic worship band Trinity releases its first radio single into the U.S., “Alive Again,” July 13 through their newly signed agreement with The Fuel Music for global distribution and marketing. “Alive Again” will be available at iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon.com, Spotify, Google Play and more digital retail and streaming outlets everywhere.
Formed by three Dutch brothers raised as missionary kids in Peru, Elbert (lead vocals, flutes, saxophone), Johan (acoustic guitars) and Niek Smelt (Drums, percussion), and Dutch-raised Bert Bos (bass), Trinity is a Worldbeat band that fuses South American and Irish folk with African beats and pop grooves to create a unique, acoustic worship music experience.
While growing up in Peru, Trinity’s brothers bartered for lessons on indigenous instruments with English lessons and organically discovered the heart of Peruvian street music. That heart still lives in Trinity’s music and the band’s vision to connect with people of all backgrounds today.
“When I met Trinity, I discovered that they are four infectious individuals who have seen hardship first hand around the world, yet maintain a real sense of hope for the future,” shares The Fuel Music’s Tony Patoto. “It’s inspiring to see their genuine love for people that led them to become musicians in the first place, and the hope that their music captures.”
“We want to be a band that reminds people of who you and I truly are: people crafted and loved by a God that knows LIFE,” says Elbert. “When you realize that each day is a grace-full God-gift, and that you’re being invited to step into the circle of His love and share of that love with those around you, then you can, and will, feel fully ALIVE.”
The first new music from Trinity since 2016’s Desert Rain, “Alive Again” was produced by Grammy-nominated, multiple Dove Award-winning Ian Eskelin and Barry Weeks and is the lead single from the band’s album, The In Between, slated to release this fall. More information on the new album is coming soon, and a trailer for the full-length can be seen above.
Taking the new music on the road, Trinity embarks on a radio promotional tour beginning today in Dallas, before traveling to Los Angeles, Nashville, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas and more radio markets across the U.S.
“It’s a pretty scary adventure to launch a record in the United States, but we are Trinity and the world is our home,” says Elbert. “We’ve learned that ‘home’ is not a place but a movement. Because to find solid ground you need to let go, and to get home you need to start walking.”
Prior to their U.S. tour, Trinity has performed on the main stage of the Netherlands’ Xnoizz Flevo Festival (2010, 2012) and EO-Youth Day event (2013, 2016), and has played at Big Church Day Out festival (UK), the Himmelfarht Festival (Germany), the CREA Festival (Switzerland) and Seaside festival (Norway). The band also shared its music live at events in Russia, Kenia, Cambodia, Gambia, Peru, Senegal, France and Ireland.
Receiving three back-to-back Dutch “Best Album” Zilveren Duif [Silver Dove] Awards for Desert Rain (2016), Mundo (2014) and Que mas (2012), Trinity has also garnered millions of YouTube views, including hundreds-of-thousands of views for the video “Unbreakable” (2014, Mundo).
